Slow Cooker Meatballs

Slow Cooker Meatballs


1 jar pasta sauce
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 onion, diced
sprig rosemary
1/2 cup red wine
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
1/4 tsp dried oregano
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 onion, finely diced
4 cloves garlic, finely minced

Combine the ingredients for the sauce in the slow cooker.  Combine the ingredients for the meatballs in a bowl and mix well.  Form the meat mixture into very smooth balls and drop into the sauce.  Cook on low 6-8 hours.

Serve over whole wheat spaghetti.
